To address issues of density in a growing urban village of Seattle, the Evanston 3+1 proposes the construction of three townhouses and one single-family residence on a 4,800 square foot urban lot in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. Utilizing the existing slope, the design steps the housing volumes from the low street-fronting townhomes to the main residence on the highest point of the lot. The stacked floors maintain a compact volume while maximizing the amount of open areas for entertaining and stunning views out west to Magnolia and the Puget Sound.
